Accountant Specialist - ERP Business Central & Oman VAT
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant Specialist with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP) and in-depth knowledge of Oman VAT regulations and compliance.
The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure VAT compliance, support ERP operations, and deliver accurate financial reporting in line with local regulations.
Main Tasks
Accounting and Financial Management
- Maintain accurate financial records including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
ERP System (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)
- Manage accounting modules within Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Configure chart of accounts and posting groups.
- Support ERP improvements and troubleshooting.
- Generate financial reports from the system.
Oman VAT Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Oman VAT laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Handle VAT calculations, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Review VAT transactions and maintain proper documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Finance degree certification through Cleansheet Group CSG (oacpa.cleansheetgroup.com).
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Demonstrable experience with Oman VAT compliance.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Requirements
Pre-requisite Certification
Finance degree must be certified by Cleansheet Group CSG: oacpa.cleansheetgroup.com
Education
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Demonstrable experience with Oman VAT compliance.
Technical Skills
- Strong ERP knowledge.
- Sound understanding of VAT regulations in Oman.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Soft Skills
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
