Job Description
The Capital Project Director is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects from concept through commissioning. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
Main Tasks
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the organization’s capital project portfolio: asset rehabilitation, drinking water network extensions, other asset extensions as entrusted by the client.
- Monitor forecasts, and financial performance.
- Engage with senior leadership, client, government authorities, and partners.
- Lead the development of project execution strategies and delivery models.
- Drive project governance, decision frameworks, and stage-gate approvals
- Oversee project development mainly conceptual design, execution design where applicable and supervision of execution.
- Review and approve project scope, technical design, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Champion a strong safety culture across all project activities.
- Monitor construction progress and contractor performance at site.

Qualifications
- Experience of asset planning and delivery in the water/wastewater industry
- Proven leadership of large-scale projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent command of English.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, or equivalent
Experience: From 10 to 15 years in major capital project delivery.
